      Susanna Buschlen

      His wife Susanna Buschlen (nee Schranz) born on Oct. 6. 1849 in Adelboden, Canton Bern, Switzerland daughter of Christian Schranz and wife Elizabeth (born Favre). She was baptized and confirmed in Switzerland. In the year 1871 she married Peter Buschlen and for 42 years they were wed.

      In the year 1891 the couple with eight children emigrated to America (USA) and in 1894 settled on a farm that remains in their possession to this date. The couple had ten children. Two children died at an early age. There are two sons, six daughters and twenty-eight grand children. She worked despite a number of illnesses until the age made her unable and then the came swiftly . On Monday Aug. 25 at approx 5 p.m. she passed away.

      Her age was 63 years, 10 months, 19 days

      She rests in God’s hands (Peace with God)

      Note from another page reads:

      She had contracted a severe old (chest cold) which almost made him believe that she would not survive. She received the last rites and on August 27, 1913 was buried.
