| Notes |
- Records show that he went to the states in 1871
However he is in the 1881 Canadian census, with youngest child being Matilda
!Christian and family were all using the Buschlen name as of the 1881 Canadian census. The name change appears to be only after moving to Michigan.
!Did you know that Christian Buschlen was one of three trustees that purchased the first land for the Emmanuel United Church in Zurich, Ontario on January 13, 1874 for $175.00? Taken from the Book: Hay Township Highlights, 150 Years Of Diversified Progress 1846-1996 2nd Reproduction Published by The Corporation of the Township of Hay, Zurich, Ontario
