• Photos		A newspaper article from 1959 describing a surprise birthday party for Amelia (Oeschger) Buschlen. At the time of its printing, she was believed to be the oldest resident of Moore Township. There is a mis-print in the article, Heading says she is 95, text below says she is 92, calculations would put her at 94.

  Mrs. Amelia Buschlen, Sebewaing--Mrs. Amelia Buschlen, 94 former resident of Sebewaing, died Thursday at Marlette Community hospital. The former Amelia Oeschger, was born June 4, 1865, in Sebewaing, Huron county. She and Jacob Buschlen were married Feb 22, 1889, and moved to Snover, in Sanilac county, a short time later. She leaves: a son, Oscar, of Snover; a daughter, Mrs. Orpha Brown, Sebewaing; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rose McElmurry, Toledo, O. Services will be held Sunday afternoon in the Snover Evangelical church. Burial will be in Moore township cemetery, near Snover.
